Adam worked for several different restaurants in Sioux Falls including Hardees, Razzles, and Taco Johns for several years. His grandmother also taught him to bowl at the early age of 4 and he became a regular at Sport Bowl. His average score was 190. Adam also loved music and playing his guitar. He had dreams of being a rock and roll star. Adam was a member of the local band “Slow Motion Collapse.” He even wrote his own lyrics and songs. When he was in high school, he took second place in a talent contest for a song he played. Adam had a passion for food as well. He loved to cook and eat and wanted to own his own restaurant some day. Fishing was a large part of his pastime. Many trips with his best buddy, “Sally” were spent at the James River.

Stoterau Family- I am so sorry for your loss. Adam was a great friend, so many of my memories from middle school and high school include him. RIP my friend i will never forget all the good times we had growing up just wish my adult memories could have included you as well.
I am so sorry for your loss. It just breaks my heart. I wish I was there to help you through this Charla. I cannot imagine what you all are going through losing Adam at such a young age. Cherish those moments you have had with Adam. May he R.I.P. and may you all find comfort in memories of him. Lots of Hugs and Love, Chris
Oh my dear long time friend. I think you are the person that I have known the longest in my life! It is hard to believe that you are gone. I was thinking about when we were kids and growing up together and it just brings a smile to my face. As both of our moms would say that we got caught “bare butt” in the pool when we were just 3 or so years olds:) You have a beautiful little boy that I cant believe how much looks just like you!!! Even though you will be missed by so many and we will cry at ‘our’ loss, heaven has gained an angel with the biggest heart of anyone I know and that’s you Adam Jo! And, for that we are so so lucky to know that you are up there set free from it all and watching over all of us!!
I really hope that you are at peace now and that people will see and hear your story that Alcoholism is such a nasty disease and it will inspire others to get help before it is too late.
Rest in Peace my Friend!!
Until we meet again
Love You Always,
Lori Visker
I will miss you Adam! It seems like yesterday that you & Joe were going to school together. You were always one of my favorite people that hung out with Joe. You spent a lot of time at my house. You will be missed!!!

Dear Adam, you were one of my closest friends. It’s been over three years now and I think of you often. I met you through my Brother Jon, but then you became one of my closest friends ever. I still call your mom and Kenny once in awhile. Everyone seems to be doing well, although everybody misses you terribly. And I wanted to say that for the first time in my life I’m coming up on one year clean. Can you believe it?? Adam I love you so much and I miss you. It makes it a little bit easier knowing that I will get to see you again in heaven. Until then…..
