Alan Bryce Kahler

Alan B. Kahler, 69, Sioux Falls, SD, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home, from cancer.

Visitation will be 1-3pm, Friday, September 27, 2024, at Heartland Funeral Home.

Alan was born on April 30, 1955, in Luverne, MN, to Carl and Hermina (Schriever) Kahler. He grew up in Beaver Creek, MN, with his four siblings.  

During his lifetime, Alan worked in the manufacturing industry and owned three businesses. He operated a mechanic shop, the bait and tackle shop in Chester, and was the owner and operator of semi-trucks. Some of his favorite activities included his sports cars, riding motorcycles, and fishing, while residing near the lake. The serene atmosphere of farm life and interacting with animals, brought him joy. Alan relished driving trucks across the United States and visiting the big amusement parks.

Alan is survived by his sisters, Pam (Douglas), Beaver Creek, MN, and Patricia (Vern), Redwood Falls, MN; brother, Jon (Valerie), New Mexico; brother-in-law, Warren, Tripp, SD; along with his nephews and niece.

Alan was preceded in by his parents, Carl and Hermina Kahler; and sister, Judy.
