Bert was my uncle and I will miss him. He was a lovable grump who always kept me guessing if he was joking or not. He had an incredible talent for making things work when everyone else had given up. I worked with him at Lad’s for a short time and he never ceased to amaze me with his talents and workmanship. He was rough around the edges, but his words were as honest as any I have ever known.
