Allen Bennett Klumper

Allen Bennett Klumper, 63, Spencer, IA, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the Bethany Home in Sioux Falls.
Funeral Services will begin at 2pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Heartland Funeral Home, Brandon, SD, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Inurnment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
Allen was born on August 9, 1954, in Texas, to Ben and Verna (Mohns) Klumper. He was raised in Worthington, MN and graduated from high school there. Allen worked as a car detailer for a car dealership and was a custodian for the grade school in Spencer, IA before receiving a back injury at work becoming disabled.
Allen loved baseball, football and rock and roll. He loved chocolate malts from B&G Milky Way. He always wanted a bigger one including 13 gallon version. He played Santa Claus for a children’s hospital. One of his favorite phrases was “Don’t touch my stuff!”
He is survived by his mother, Verna Klumper, Sioux Falls; brother Jeff (Pat) Klumper, Sioux Falls; nephews Jeremy (Bobby) Klumper, Sioux Falls and Michael (Chrystal) Klumper, Montevideo, MN; great nephews and nieces, Adrianna, Benjamin, Wyatt, Wayde, Alexis, Asher, Brayden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Ben.
He will be missed he was a good guy
We knew Ben and Verna since my husband worked with him for years. We are so sorry to hear of Allen’s passing and pray that he will rest in God’s heaven thru eternity. His room was finally ready.
I am so sorry to hear of Allen’s passing. I grew up across the street from Al. I fondly recall many wonderful days spent in the company of Allen, Jeff, Ben, and Verna. Allen will be sorely missed.

I just heard of Al’s passing, so sorry for your loss. I remember Al from the days we all cruised main street or watched form the courthouse lawn. Al was a good person, one who you remembered for all time. Good bye my friend gone, never forgotten. Ron
