Ardis Ann Hollander was born March 15, 1940, to Pete and Amanda (Jansen) Hollander in Rock Rapids, IA, as one of five children. The family lived in Edna, IA, Kanaranzi, MN, and then Magnolia, MN where Ardis graduated. Shortly after her graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Milton Lauck, on November 1, 1958, at the Stateline Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. The couple lived in a few different towns before moving to the Twin Cities for many years until they retired in 1998. While there, Ardis worked for Dayton’s for various departments in retail sales. The couple bought a motorhome and moved to the Phoenix, AZ, area. They spent many years traveling the Southwest region. Ardis loved to site see and loved the mountains so this way of life really suited her. It also afforded her the opportunity to travel to see her family and spoil her nieces and nephews whom she adored. Ardis spent her spare time crocheting many different items. More recently, Ardis and Milton returned to Sioux Falls to be closer to her family while she dealt with some health issues.
Ardis will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Milton; four siblings, Dennis Hollander, Colton, Jerry (Julie) Hollander, Eugene, OR, Lee (Judy) Hollander, Omaha, NE, and Lola (Don) Wulf, Sioux City, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
Ardis was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Amanda (Jansen) Hollander.
