Arick J. Strauser, 18, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Public & Family Visitation will be 5-7pm, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Heartland Funeral Home. Private Funeral Services will be held at a later date.

Arick Johnathon Strauser was born November 8, 1997 to Amiee Strauser in Yankton, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from there. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he was a loving son, loving and protective brother, and a generous, helpful and fun loving friend. Arick enjoyed many deep conversations with his step-father while pondering his place in this world. He had a knack for welding and looked forward to projects that he made and going on to college for a degree.

Arick spent much of his time outside fishing, swimming or playing basketball and listening to music. Arick left this world way too soon and will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends.

Arick will be deeply missed by his mother & step-father, Amiee Strauser and Greg Bowden, Sioux Falls and his father, Gerald “Max” Hausman, Yankton; four siblings, Christopher Arbach, Oacoma, SD, Ellie, Samara, and Gia Strauser of Sioux Falls; two grandparents, Jerry Hausman, Yankton and Mary Bowden, Chicago, IL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Arick was preceded in death by a sister, Selena; and three grandparents, Alvin Strauser, Frank Bowden, and Dixie Hauser.

A memorial fund has been set up at One American Bank in Sioux Falls for Arick and his family.
