Connie Lou Mogen

Connie Mogen, 67, Sioux Falls, died Friday, January 31, 2020, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, following an extensive battle with cancer.
Memorial services will begin at 11:00am, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Rustic Hills Community Church, (4500 E Fernwood Dr.) Sioux Falls, SD.
Connie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Amy (Larry) Robertson, Sioux Falls; grandson, Braeden Hanson; siblings, Larry (Dawn) Crook, Cindy Crook, both of Redfield, and Candy (Don) Valle, Hermosa; and one nephew, Cody.
Connie was received in Heaven by her parents, Alvin and LaVonne (Brown) Crook; two husbands, Johnny Jungwirth and Kerry Mogen; and one grandson, Noah Robertson.

It was so special getting to know Connie the last many weeks! I worked at Sanford Hospice up until a couple weeks ago, and looked forward to visiting with Connie a couple times a week, especially on Fridays. She was a very thoughtful and insightful person. Her passion for politics gave me a lot to think about. It was a privilege to hear about her life and share great discussions together. I only knew her for a couple months, but will miss her very much. My heart goes out to her family and friends; she is a person that leaves a big mark on others’ lives.
I’d only known Connie for a few years and hoped to get to know her better. She was a wonderful, caring, bright light. Prayers for the peace of her soul and the family.
