Delna Dolores Beckstrom

Delna D. Beckstrom 92, Sioux Falls, departed her loving family, on March 11, 2022, to meet her Lord and Savior, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls.
A Private, Family Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022. Sympathy cards may be mailed to Gordon Beckstrom at 4613 E. Fernwood Dr. Sioux Falls, 57110.
Delna Dolores Muller was born on April 8, 1929, in Monroe, South Dakota, to parents, Lucas and Minnie (Doeden) Muller. Delna graduated from Monroe High School in 1947. After graduation, she moved to Sioux Falls and worked as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone. Delna and her husband, Gordon married on March 17, 1949. Delna and Gordon took many nice trips over the years including Hawaii, Mexico, and Canada. They took many camping family vacations and also wintered in their snowbird Florida home. When the children grew older Delna worked for Gene’s Studio. They celebrated almost 73 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife and mother and raised her children with love.
Delna was an excellent homemaker and decorator. She was well known for her famous potato salad and roast beef dinners! She was also an avid crafter, knitting many beautiful afghans. She was an accomplished piano player. She loved to attend class and family reunions.”
Sadly, Delna, 92, of Sioux Falls, departed her loving family, on March 11, 2022, to meet her Lord and Savior, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls.
Delna is survived by her husband, Gordon; four children, Jan Bullock, Longview, TX, Stanley (Carol) Beckstrom, Hartford, Richard (Beverly) Beckstrom, Sioux Falls, Shawn Jorgensen, Sioux Falls; ten grandchildren, Gregg Miner, Beth Duncan, Sarah Walter, Gwen Hulinsky, Benjamin Beckstrom, Chad Beckstrom, Joseph Beckstrom, Christa Jorgensen-Bronzynski, Tyler Jorgensen, and Hannah Jorgensen; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carole Beier Thelen, Redfield, SD.
Delna was preceded in death by her parents, along with one infant daughter, Kimberly Rae Beckstrom.
