Delores Williams, 71, Sioux Falls, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Private services were held Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Heartland Funeral Home. Memorial Services were held in Chicago, IL., on Saturday May 7, 2016.
Delores Williams was born May 29, 1944, in New Orleans, LA, to Wallace Sr. and Helen (Dyer) Williams. She graduated from St. Lucy Catholic School and moved to Chicago, IL. Delores married Willie Jones March 6, 1975. The couple had seven children; Roslyn Williams, Jerome Williams, Pierre Jones, Rosa Jones, Delores Candy Williams, step-daughter, Laricia Thomas, and God-son, David Wilson. Delores moved to Sioux Falls to be closer to her children.
Delores is survived by her children, Roslyn Williams, MN, Pierre (Sandy) Jones, SD, Patrice Williams, and Rosa Jones; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Gregory (Barbara) Williams, TX, Noel (Teedee) Williams, LA, Betty Jackson, TX, Mary (Lawrence) Williams, LA, Helen Williams, LA, Luella Williams, LA, and Debra Williams, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jones; daughter, Delores “Candy” Williams; three brothers, Wallace Williams Jr, Edward Williams and Ronnie Williams; her parents, Wallace Sr. and Helen (Dyer) Williams; and one Great-grandson, Reese Williams.
