A Private Service was held Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Frank Larry Hayne was born October 26, 1951, in Fort Carson, CO 1951, to Frank and Catherine Hayne. After Frank Sr passed, Charles Schriver came into Catherine’s life. He raised and loved the Hayne children as his own. Larry grew up in the Sioux Falls and SW Minnesota area. He was an independent individual who left home at an early age. He pursued a successful construction and lathing career. He even earned his Master Lather certificate. Larry was also very passionate about karate, in which he earned his black belt. Larry became a father in 1971, followed by two more children in that same decade. He loved motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and working with his hands, making his own creations with wood and other various items. In his adult life, he became very active in raising, racing, and showing of pigeons. Larry was also a dog lover and had many dogs over the years. His favorite dog was Ozzy. Larry was also known for writing articles in the local newspaper about his religious views as he loved the Lord. Throughout his life, Larry suffered from a terrible mental illness. It was a very long hard road for him and his loved ones. Our family is so happy that he no longer struggles and is now unburdened with any illness and is finally at peace with his Lord and Savior.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Matt Hayne; his daughter, Becky Hayne; brothers, Bob (Connie) Hayne, and Charles Schriver III, sister, Trinda (Tim) Knebel; grandkids, Cydni (Sadmir) Keserovic, Caden Quintanilla, Keegan Hayne, Mckenzie Hayne, and Cole Hayne; one great-granddaughter, Thea Keserovic; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Catherine Hayne; son, Jarrod Hayne; grandparents, Wheatley and Rosella Darst; and uncles, Dick Hayne and Joe Darst.
