Jayda Li Brandner

Aug. 16, 2012 ~ Sept. 5, 2012

Jayda Li Brandner erupted into this world on August 16, 2012, to her very proud parents, Nathan and Myranda, in Pyongtaek, South Korea. Despite the many setbacks and complications she faced, Jayda fought hard to make her way for the next 20 days and prove her doctors wrong. Even at the very end, her strong little heart played with the doctors as they tried to determine the actual time of her life ending. They would call it based on the flat-line on the monitor, and then her heart would start beating on again, making her parents smile as Jayda proved her strong will. Most days, Jayda could be found hanging out in her NICU incubator “sun tanning” and wearing her shades. These days became very memorable to her family as they came to visit and take photos. Even her big sister, Alexys, came by to visit along with Grandpa and Grandma Newbold.

Unfortunately, Jayda’s little body could not overcome all of the obstacles and she was called back into Jesus’ arms on Wednesday, September 5, 2012.

This little angel touched many hearts in the short time that she was here on earth. Jayda will be deeply missed by her parents, Nathan and Myranda (Newbold) Brandner of Pyongtaek, South Korea; one sister, Alexys Brandner; grandparents, Clint & Cindy Newbold, Okaton, Doug and Lori Furness, Brandon, and Victor Brandner, Sioux Falls; great-grandparents, James and Virginia Newbold, Murdo, Lawrence Mohr, Brandon, and Mary Brandner, Eureka; great-great-grandmother, Bertha Mohr, Hosmer; aunts & uncles, Colter and (Kendra) Newbold, Harrisburg, Cassidy and (Janet) Newbold, Pierre, Jennings Newbold, Pierre, and Timothy Furness, Sioux Falls; and numerous cousins and great aunts and uncles.

Jayda was greeted in heaven by her great-grandparents, Beverly Fuller, Virginia Mohr, and Lawrence Brandner.

Private family services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, for Jayda Li Brandner.  Cards or flowers may be sent to Heartland Funeral Home for her family at PO Box 451 or delivery to our physical address- 1801 Frontier, Brandon, SD, 57005.
