Jeanette E. Harms, 87, of Sioux Falls, SD, went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, after a brief illness.
Visitation will be 11am-1pm, Monday, June 19, 2023, at Heartland Funeral Home, 1801 W Frontier, Brandon, SD, with Funeral Services at 1pm. Burial following at Franklin Cemetery, rural Madison, SD. Jeanette Erlene Roney, the daughter of Ralph and Angeline (Klotzbach) Roney, was born on March 23, 1936, in Iowa.
She enjoyed fishing, making baskets out of pine needles, painting and hand embroidering kitchen towels, many of which she would give away to family.
Jeanette is survived by her three daughters, Diane (Myron) Thiese, Raedene (Tim) Quandahl, Linda (Karl) Fedeler; a step-son, Tony Harms; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren; four brothers, Donald (Arlene) Roney, Arlin (Pat) Roney, Duane (Linda) Roney, Dale (Kari) Roney; and one sister, Trudy Barrett.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents; one brother, Robert Roney; two sisters, Ruthie Farley and Elaine Kessler; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Roney; three brothers-in-law, John Barrett, Richard Kessler, and James Farley; two nephews; and one heavenly great-grandchild, Kamden Nytroe.
