Judy Ann Buie, 68, Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Dougherty Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls.

Memorial services will be 10:00am, Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Heartland Funeral Home, with family visitation/fellowship afterwards.

Judy Ann Peterson was born August 3, 1946, in Hendricks, MN, to Keith and Lucille Peterson. She graduated from Washington High School in 1964. Judy married James Buie on August 25, 1967. They had 2 children Jason and Jamie. Judy worked various office jobs throughout the years including John Morrell, part-time at Kmart, and for the last 15 years, at KTTW TV – FOX, right up until the time of her death. Judy enjoyed shopping, playing cards of any type and playing BUNCO with the gals.

Judy is survived by her children, Jason (Marcia) Buie, Sioux Falls and Jamie (Mark) Valentien, Brandon; four grandchildren, Kaylee and Talon Buie, Harrisburg and Jessica and Kiara Valentien, Brandon; six nieces & nephews; many cousins; two aunts, Veronica Quissell and Mardell Barenklau; and her very special feline, Simba.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jerry.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sandra Smith, Dr. Mark Huber, and the staff at the Avera Prairie Center and Chemotherapy.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

    I am so glad to have met Judy while working at KTTW, she was such a little spitfire, and that is what I have always liked about her, we got along great!
    Now she has a new home, and it would be quite exciting to see what kind of mischief she will get into there. πŸ™‚
