He quite school to take over the family’s dairy operation and to work on the farm. He also had a tremendous love for animals that included cattle, horses and his dogs.

Besides hard work, Keith will be remembered for his love of hunting anything; especially deer.
Sadly, in December, Keith suffered a major disabling stroke. On Thursday, March 01, 2012, Keith, 73, died at Southridge Care Center, in Sioux Falls, SD.
Keith is survived his wife, Sharon, of Valley Springs, SD; one daughter, Becky (Mike) Tonne, Granada, MN; two sons, Steve, of Marlow, OK and Jim (Nancy) of Brandon, SD; seven grandchildren, one brother Kenneth (Sandi) Bahr, Pequot Lakes, MN and one sister, Karen (James) Kortuem, Rapidan, MN.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Timothy Bahr.
Sharon and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We have shared many laughs with Keith and will never forget the great times and memories.
To the family… I always remember Keiths laugh and smile. My first husband (Brett Graham) and I used to stop out and talk to Keith when he was milking or working with the horses. Steve and Keith would always stop into the gas station I worked at in Fairmont. Steve would always buy the beer there.. I remeber the day steve was actually old enough to buy beer how Keith got a chuckle out of that as I never carded Steve. May God bless your family
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. The many memories of our horse adventures are often revisited fondly.
Sharon, Becky, Steve, Jim and families,
My sincerest sympathy to you–I have so many fond memories of Keith and the Huntley days. I always remember him buying Lori chocolate ice cream and laughing when she dripped it down the front of her–such a joker. May you all find comfort in the memories that each of you hold dearly and may God grant you all peace and comfort in the days ahead!! My love to each of you!

Our sincerest sympathy from the Ykema family to yours. We had the honor of meeting Jim’s parents at his home and was always there at the Luverne horse shows. Keith’s caring attitude extended well beyond his own family. He will be missed but his kindness won’t be forgotten.
You are all in our thoughts with your loss of Keith. We both enjoyed our time with Keith. We never knew when he would drop by for a visit. His smile and visits will be greatly missed.
