Lynnal Lester Meisenheimer
September 3, 1957 ~ October 6, 2016
Lynnal L. Meisenheimer, 59, Brandon, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at his home from a sudden illness.
Family visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday, October 10, 2016, at Celebration United Methodist Church, 500 Pasque Flower Trail, Brandon. A Celebration of Life for Lynnal will be 11am, Tuesday, October 11, also at Celebration UMC. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Lynnal Lester Meisenheimer was born September 3, 1957, in Watertown, SD to Alvin and (Skip) Dianna (Haase) Meisenheimer. He was raised in Watertown, graduating from high school and then attending Lake Area Tech for drafting. On September 25, 1976, Lynnal married Jackie Kisch in Wagner, SD with a Grand Prix Pontiac filled with straw. The couple moved to Billings, MT, where Lynnal worked for an architectural firm. They eventually found their way back to Sioux Falls and Brandon where he worked for Raven Industries as a draftsman and management for balloon research. More recently, Lynnal was the production manager for Dakota Corrugated Box.
Lynnal loved to hunt or fish anytime he could. Family fishing trips to Canada, the Missouri River, Lake Erie, and Elk, Deer, or Antelope hunting were some of his fondest memories. He loved spending time with his grandson, Kaiden. Jackie also enjoyed all of the hunting and fishing trips they took together. She referred to Lynnal as her “pickup man” as he would be waiting for her at the end of her kayaking trips. He was also the “fix it guy” who could fix anything she needed and was always willing to truck out a load of appliances to the reservation for the Missions group. The ongoing adventures of Lynnal’s Grizzly Beer Bear have led to great stories, interesting photos and continuous giggles throughout the family for years. The world has been a better place for many people, thanks to Lynnal, who are now going to have a huge void to fill.
Those left behind include his wife of 40 years, Jackie; two daughters, Jodi (Jeff Peterson) Meisenheimer and Laci (Jeremy Welch) Meisenheimer, Brandon; one grandson, Kaiden Boer; his parents, Alvin and (Skip) Dianna (Haase) Meisenheimer, Watertown; one sister, Sandy Heuer, Watertown; his parent-in-laws, Eugene and Ester Kisch, Fridley, MN; three brothers-in-law, Ron (Norma) Kisch, Dennis (Diane) Kisch, and Dale (Leeann) Kisch; fifteen nieces and nephews, Tyler, Jesse, Michael, Nick, Jennifer, Jamie, Cassie, Breanna, Jeana, John, Gus, Ema, Maggie, Daphne and Chloe.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Memorials can be made to Celebration UMC Missions or to the Catch-a-Dream Foundation @ catchadream.org.

Laci and family we are so sorry for your loss and express our sympathy and know you guys are in our prayers.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the ‘God of all comfort’ be with you during this difficult time. I have personally found comfort in the promise at 1 Corinthians 15:26 where it states that very soon ‘death will be brought to nothing’. Then, we have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on earth (John 5:28,29). I truly hope this brings you comfort and hope. With deepest sympathies, Gwen and family.
