November 16, 1961~ December 1, 2017
Denise Dierickx, 56, Brandon, died peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.
Visitation with family present, will be 4:30 – 6pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Heartland Funeral Home followed by a 6pm Memorial Service with Full Military Honors. A reception will follow at the Brandon VFW. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Denise’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Avera Prairie Center.
Denise Hatcher was born on November 16, 1961, in Ocala, FL, to Jim and Georgia (Wilbur) Hatcher. After meeting her future husband, Bob, in Germany, while serving in the US Army, they settled down to raise their family in Brandon, SD.
Denise was good natured, easy going and a loving, gentle woman, who was adored my many. She enjoyed camping, loved the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Denise was a die-hard Florida Gators fan and she married into being a strong Vikings fan.
Denise is survived by her loving husband, Bob Dierickx; two children, Cindy (Jake) Jass, Hartford, SD, and Josh (Jackie) Dierickx, New Castle, PA; four grandchildren, Braden, Laney, Noah, and Callie; her mother, Georgia Hatcher, DeLeon Springs, FL; one sister, Beth (Bruce) Gold, Deland, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob, Cindy, and Josh- I am so sorry to hear of Denise’s passing. She fought a heck of a battle! I feel fortunate that we got to visit in September. Our thought and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Denise. I worked with her at Wells Fargo years ago. She was such a great Friend and Co-worker. She could always make anyone smile even if you were not having a good day. She had a heart of gold! She will for sure be missed! I will keep you all in my Thoughts an Prayers.
