Megan Rachel Clements

June 28, 1988 ~ June 25, 2012

Family visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Heartland Funeral Home in Brandon from 5 to 7 PM.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 28, at Blessed Redeemer Lutheran Church, Brandon, with Pastor Daniel Deardoff officiating. Interment will occur at 2:00 PM, on Friday, June 29, 2012 in St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery, Johnson, NE.

The family requests attendees wear bright and colorful attire to celebrate Megan’s life on her birthday.

Megan Rachel Clements was born on June 28, 1988 in Phoenix, AZ to Mark and Cindy Clements. In 1990 her family moved to Kentucky. In 1991 she moved to Brandon, SD where she lived until she was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the age of 23 years 11 months 28 days.

Megan attended Brandon schools, graduating in 2007. When she was younger, Megan enjoyed horseback riding. She also loved music and swimming. Megan possessed an infectious laugh. Her disability did not allow her speak much but her facial expressions spoke volumes. She constantly kept her family and friends in stitches with laughter. She was a blessing from God to her family, friends and all who were privileged to know her.

Megan is survived by her mother Cindy Clements of Brandon, SD; father Mark and his wife Amber Clements of Sioux Falls, SD; brother Trevor Clements of Brookings, SD; sister Lauren Clements of Brandon, SD; step-sister Cady Poderzay and step-brother Calvin Poderzay of Sioux Falls, SD; grandfather Byford Elwonger of Gold Canyon, AZ; grandmother Lorene Boeck of Auburn, NE; special friend Emily Bartscher of Brandon, SD; aunts, uncles, cousins and many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Albert Boeck; grandmother, Patricia Elwonger; grandfather Reverend Homer Clements; Aunt Nancy Boeck and cousin Matthew Catlett.
