Phyllis Irene Swanson

Phyllis I. Swanson, age 92, of Brandon, SD, passed away on March 13, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Village, in Sioux Falls, SD.

There will be a Funeral Mass at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon, SD, on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11am. Visitation will begin at 10am.  Inurnment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.

Phyllis Irene Muilenburg was born in Bancroft, SD, on February 1, 1932, to parents “John” Leland and Emma (Collison) Muilenburg. She was united in marriage to Roy A. Swanson Jr. on May 27, 1950. in Huron SD.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Sandra (Mike) McNutt, Huron SD, Robert (Ronda) Swanson,  Pierre, SD, Roger (Sandi) Swanson, Goddard, KS, and Nancy (Bill) Crapser, Sioux Falls, SD; 10 grandchildren, Jamie (Glenda) McNutt, Doland, SD, Eric (Sue) McNutt, Colorado Springs, CO, Roy (Kari) Swanson, Pierre, SD, Laura Bowman (Travis) Wieting, Pierre SD, Rachel Swanson Wichita, KS, Andrea Swanson, Wichita, KS, Beowulf (Annette) Crapser, Sioux Falls SD, Zayd
(Hamdi) Crapser, Sioux Falls SD, Morrigan (Kyler) Farrow, Sioux Falls SD, and Tyr Crapser, Sioux Falls, SD; 7 great-grandchildren, Dillon, Jamez, Dalton, Emlyn, Travis, Gavin, and Isla; two brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.

Phyllis was preceded by her husband, Roy, in 2012; her parents, her sister, Audrey (Wayne)
Shimer; her brother, Rolland (Marcia) Muilenburg; great-great-grandson, Huxley James
McNutt; and three brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law.
