Ralph Delmer Hansen was born in Redfield, South Dakota, on August 7, 1930, to James and Leda (Lundstrom) Hansen. He graduated from Valley Springs High School (Class of 1949). He married Lois Joneson on June 9, 1950, at Beaver Valley Lutheran Church in rural Valley Springs, SD. At the time of his passing, Ralph was a resident of the TUFF Memorial Home of Hills, MN.
Ralph enjoyed farming and driving his truck. He was a long-time employee of DeKalb, Agriculture in Brandon, SD. He farmed in Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Ralph also enjoyed fishing and had taken trips to Canada to fish. He also enjoyed his grandchildren’s sporting events by attending numerous baseball and softball games as they grew up.
After retirement from farming and truck driving, Ralph and Lois traveled to Texas to spend time with their son, Jeff, and his family, during the winter, and also “snow birded” to Phoenix, AZ, several times.
Ralph is survived by his son, Jeffrey, (wife Kelly Marts); and granddaughter, Lee; daughter-in-law, Shannon (Waring) Hansen; four grandchildren, Devon, Danielle (husband Trent), Travis (fiancé Lindsey), and Nichole; great-grandchildren, Kimber (Devon), Layne and Shyloe (Danielle), Aubrey, Rieghker, Tracey, Sterling, and Bohdi (Travis); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, Lois; sons, David and Timothy; and daughter, Lori; his parents, James and Leda; four brothers, Edward, Clyde, James, and Harvey; and one sister, Elsie.
So many happy memories with Aunt Lois and Uncle Ralph. Loved going to the farm. They were always special to me. Prayers for Jeff and all the family. Uncle Ralph will be missed.

Will cherish the many, many stories my “friend/brother” Jeff of his dad watching Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith; love of Welch’s grape juice; and the kick and big smiles generated by the selfies Jeff took to send to family and friends of his dad.
Cherish your memories always.
