Ramona Leibel, 88, Sioux Falls, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls.
Graveside services will be held 12:30pm, Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD.
Ramona was born on January 23, 1930, at Sturgis, SD. She was the youngest daughter of and Henry Lewis and Mae Ashton (Smith) Madison. Ramona graduated from Sturgis High School in 1948 and attended SDSU in Brookings where she met her husband, George Walter Leibel. They were married on December 30, 1950, in Sturgis, SD.
Ramona’s passion was her family. She loved them to visit and call. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sewing and doing upholstery were hobbies when she had someone who needed something done. She loved making her projects one of a kind.
She is survived by her children; daughters, Monica Didier, White River, SD, Jan, Havre, MT, Marlis Evans, Fairbanks, AK, Marcy (Dan) Roesler, Mobridge, SD, Sue (James) Knoll, Glendive, MT, Mary (Kirk) Bainter, Winner, SD, sons, Mike (Lynn), Gillette, WY, Pat, Renner, SD, Joe (Denise), Penrose, CO, Dana (Jackie), Leola, SD; thirty grandchildren; fifty three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law , Lucille Koenig, Fairfax, SD, Orpha Leibel, Brookings, SD, Marjorie Leibel, Wagner, SD, Mary Rita Leibel, Burke, SD, and Jean Madison, Simi Valley, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Ramona was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
