Dick served in the Army National Guard until 1966. Dick got into the automotive industry with a purchase as co-owner of a tire store in West Point, NE. He later owned Dick McCoy Auto Sales. Eventually, Dick moved to South Dakota and Minnesota where he worked as a Finance Manager for several different dealerships including Amdahl Motors, Spomer’s, Prostrello’s and AutoLand where he retired from in January.
Dick loved his family and spending time with them at the lake or boating created many special memories. His Corvettes and his dogs were also very special to him. Anyone who lived near Dick also saw him out in his yard working on making it perfect. He loved to mow the lawn or make sure the landscaping was exact.
