November 26, 1956 ~ September 25, 2015
Robin Jolene Bandstra, 58, Bridgewater, died suddenly and unexpectedly, Friday, September 25, 2015, at Sanford USD Medical Center, in Sioux Falls.

Robin Jolene Loomis was born November 26, 1956, to Eugene and Evelyn (Mauch) Loomis at Belle Fourche. Robin moved many times due to her father’s military career. She graduated from school at Burlington, WI. She then attended college in Wisconsin and graduated with Bachelor degrees in Business and Accounting. Robin was a very direct, honest and upfront kind of a person. Whenever Robin would make a decision she would stand by her decision.
June 14, 1996, Robin married Bruce Bandstra in Sioux Falls. The couple resided in Sioux Falls for six years before moving to Bridgewater. They owned and operated Bandstra Blinds where she managed the office and worked projects alongside Bruce. Robin loved her peace and quiet and raising Alaskan Malamutes for over 18 years on the acreage, was perfect for her. She and Bruce also loved to camp and Robin loved to shop for different campers. Robin loved to spend her vacations waking up to the smell of the Spearfish Canyon pine trees and someday return to the area. Robin loved her family and her boys and granddaughter were her pride and joy.
Robin will be greatly missed by her husband, Bruce; sons, Jason, Steffen, Burlington, WI, Nathan (Brittany) Bandstra, Sioux Falls, Brandon Bandstra, Sioux Falls, and Justin (Cate) Bandstra, HI; one granddaughter, Avery; her mother, Evelyn, Spearfish; and one sister, Kelly Dirks, Akron, IA.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Loomis.
Our heartfelt condolences
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Robin. Wishing the Bandstra family peace. Remember, not that Robin has died, but that she lived and her life gave you memories
too beautiful to forget. While grief at the loss of Robin is great – Joy of welcoming her back in the resurrection will be even greater, for God promises, “Your Dead Will Live. Awake and shout joyfully, You Residents In The Dust!..” (Isaiah 26:19)
My condolences to you and your family.
Dear Bruce and Family–so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers and hugs to all.
