Tina Guerrero, 67, of Sioux Falls, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 PM, Monday, May 28, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sioux Falls with Fr. David Garza officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
Tina Euceda was born May 4, 1945, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to Marcial and Marina (Hernandez) Euceda. Her mother died early in Tina’s life, so she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Joana Medrano and George Branch. She moved between the USA, (Florida) and Honduras until the age of eighteen. She was educated through the ninth grade. When Tina was nineteen, she married Manuel Antonio Lopez. There was one child born (Jacqueline) to Tina from this union. At the age of twenty-five, Tina moved to Washington DC to work for the Honduran Consulate and after 10 years moved to California and married Jose Alvarado-Guerrero. They worked and resided there until 2000. They also had a son, Jose Luis Jr. In 2000, they came to Sioux Falls where Tina began working at John Morrell.
Tina loved her children and grandchildren. She especially loved spending time with people socially. She was referred to by many as “Mama Tina.” A few talents that Tina possessed were her skill as a ballerina and she also enjoyed gardening and plants as well as sewing and crocheting.
Tina will be especially missed by her husband, Jose Luis Alvardo-Guerrero; her children, Jackie Lopez, & Jose Luis (Carrie Fallat) Guerrero Jr., of Sioux Falls; her 103 years old mother, Joana Medrano, Sioux Falls and her two grandchildren, Aiden Guerrero and Mara Vargas; sixteen brothers and sisters, Juana, Reyna, Edith, Luz, Jesus, Johvany, Marcial, Francisco, Gerson, Dennis, Raul, Betty, Cruzita, Olga, Pedro, Lupe; and her very best friend, Conchita Campos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcial Euceda and Marina Hernandez , and four siblings, Oscar, Bertha, Maria, and Aurora.
A memorial has been established to help return Tina to Honduras.

Tina Euceda nació el 04 de mayo de 1945, en San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Marcial y Marina (Hernández) Euceda. quien fue adoptada por su tía y su tío, George Branch y Joana Medrano. Se trasladó entre los Estados Unidos (Florida) y Honduras hasta la edad de 18 años. Fue educada hasta el noveno grado. Cuando Tina tenía 19 años, se casó con Manuel Antonio López. De este matrimonio nacido una niña (Jacqueline). A la edad de veinticinco años, Tina se trasladó a Washington DC para trabajar para el Consulado hondureño y después de 10 años se trasladó a California y se casó con José Alvarado-Guerrero. También tuvieron un hijo, José Luis Jr. Trabajó y vivió allí hasta el año 1998. En el año 1998, Tina llego a Sioux Falls donde Ella comenzó a trabajar en John Morrell.
Tina amaba a sus hijos y nietos. Especialmente amaba pasar tiempo con personas socialmente. Ella era contemplada por muchos como “Mama Tina.” Unos talentos que Tina poseía eran su habilidad como bailarina de ballet y ella también disfrutó de jardinería y plantas, así como coser y hacer crochet.
Tina a dejado un gran vacío especialmente; en sus hijos, Jackie López y José Luis (Carrie Fallat) Guerrero Jr., de Sioux Falls; su madre de 103 años de edad, Joana Medrano, Sioux Falls, por su marido, José Luis Alvarado-Guerrero y sus dos nietos, Aiden Guerrero y Mara Vargas; dieciséis hermanos y hermanas, Juana, Reyna, Edith, Luz, Jesús, Johvany, Marcial, Francisco, Gerson, Dennis, Raúl, Betty, Crucita, Olga, Pedro, Lupe; y su mejor amiga, Conchita Campos.
Ella fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Marcial Euceda y Marina Hernández y cuatro hermanos, Oscar, Bertha, María y Aurora.
Se ha establecido un fondo memorial para ayudar a Tina en su regreso a Honduras.

I am sorry for your loss of Tina. She was a very special lady to me and to many. I will miss her laugh and funny stories. May god be with you during your time of loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
