Wendy Jo Murphy (Kruger)
Wendy Jo Kruger was born on, August 26, 1978, in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Hills, MN, with her father and mother. She attended school in Hills and graduated High School there. She spent many a happy time with her father in his diesel shop, and grew quite skilled with the mechanics of equipment engines assisting him.
After her father passed, Wendy and her mother moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where she worked in several fields, including a bingo hall, a motel as a clerk, and a call center. She had many enjoyments in her spare time. She loved to paint, she was a voracious reader, but what she enjoyed most was going on road trips. She loved to drive, see the countryside, and listen to her music.
In 2013, Wendy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, and shortly after, MS. In this time she showed her great strength and passion for life battling these two diseases. Regardless of how sick she got, Wendy never once stopped fighting. Wendy touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Honored to have shared her life was her husband, James H. Murphy of Sioux Falls, SD, her step-children, Lauren Goossan (Thomas Lund), Sioux Falls SD, Catherine (Steele) Fetter (Michael Fetter), Sioux Falls SD, Nicholas Murphy, Sioux Falls SD, Sarah E. Murphy, Hills MN, and Victoria Murphy, Sioux Falls SD, and 5 grandchildren. Also blessed to be in Wendys life, were her closest friends, and their families.
Wendy is proceeded in death by her parents, Donald “Ray” Kruger (7/10/46 – 2/06/03), and Jerrine “Jerri” Kruger (5/05/43 – 12/26/13)
