Bentley Matthew Christensen

Bentley Matthew Christensen, of Sioux Falls, went back to his Heavenly home on Friday, May 25, 2012, at the Sanford University Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, with Pastors Kirk Flaa and Bill Mitchell officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will follow at Hills of Rest, Sioux Falls.

Bentley will be greatly missed by his parents, Ryan and Kelsey Christensen, Sioux Falls; grandparents, Matt and Bonnie Sandvold, of Brandon, & Keith and Karie Oppold of Tea; aunts Kelsie Torkelson, Sioux Falls, Lexi Brown, Brandon, and uncle Alex Sandvold; great-grandparents, Robert and Roberta Clemens, Wagner and Harold and Susan Christensen, Sioux Falls and many cousins and great aunts and uncles.

Bentley was preceded in death by three great-grandparents, Roger and Dolly Sandvold, L.B. “Bud” Lewis; and one aunt, Deidra McWilliams.

A memorial fund has been established for Bentley and family.

    Thoughts and prayers being sent to your family. We lost our beautiful little girl three years ago and this Grandma focused on the reality that her journey was short because God needed her back in his arms.

    I am at a lost for words. I am praying that God will wrap his arms around you and hold you tight during this traumatic time in your life. Bentley was greeted by the most wonderous person at the gates of Heaven. I just want you to know that although you are traveling a very difficult road you are not alone.     Dear Kelsey and Ryan.. I am so sorry to ready about the loss of your little boy. Although, we don’t know each other, I wanted to reach out to you. We lost our little boy almost two years ago. It is a hurt like no other. The pain doesn’t go away but it does get easier. My heart goes out to both of you. Be kind to yourself.
