Roxann R. Hines, 49, Brandon, SD, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Brandon Valley Assembly of God, Brandon, SD. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
Roxann Renae Dykstra was born on May 11, 1976, in Ft. Wayne, IN to Richard & Karen (Kuipers) Dykstra. In 1979, she moved to Worthington, MN with her family. She graduated from Worthington Senior High School.
Growing up, Roxann was involved in 4H and church youth group. After high school, Roxann received her CNA. The work she did touched the lives of everyone she met. She met Jeff and they were married on August 17, 2012. She loved to watch sports, dirt track and Nascar races.
In 2020, Roxann was diagnosed with colon cancer. She fought hard and had been in remission for two years when her cancer came back.
Roxann is survived by her husband, Jeff Hines; sons, Devon and Skyler; mother, Karen Dykstra; sister, Cindy (Matt) Handy; brother, Brian (Amy) Dykstra; uncle, Gradus (Caroline) Kuipers; aunt, Liz (Glen) Gessink; nieces, Amanda, Kayla, Bethany, Kari, Dani, Ciara, Megan, and Jenna; nephews, Daniel, Elijah, Cody, Brian, Brandon, and Dylan; great-nephew, Coltan; many cousins; and dog, Maggie.
Roxann is preceded in death by her father, Richard Dykstra; grandparents, Isaac and Matilda Kuipers, Dick and Wilma Dykstra; aunt & uncles, Jake and Joan Dykstra, Bob and Edith Swayving, Mary Ann Dykstra; Howard and Gertrude Teslaa; Gerrit and Carol Kuipers; and Vern and Hermina Hammon.
