David Jerome Ziemer
May 7, 1955 – October 29, 2010
David Jerome Ziemer, 55, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. He was born on May 7, 1955, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Delmer and Nancy Ziemer. On September 9, 1978 he was united in marriage to Robin Matz. They have lived in Sioux Falls for the last 32 years.
David dedicated his life to Jehovah on March 31, 1971.
David was well known for the role he played in the construction of around 70 Kingdom Halls through out South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri over the last 27 years. He enjoyed landscaping, not just at the Hall builds, but also as a hobby. Serving as an elder in the congregation and helping his fellow brothers and sisters was something David dearly loved. His sense of humor and quick wit endeared him to everyone over the years. He also loved to read and could often be found with his nose in a book.
David is survived by his wife, Robin, his daughter, Nicole, his son, Michael, his parents, Delmer and Nancy; 3 brothers and a sister.

I am greatly saddened by your loss. Dave was a good friend to me and so many others; we will all miss him.

Mandy and I pray for you all to receive comfort from our heavenly father. We are saddened by your loss. I look back with fond memories of working on RBC projects laying sod with a swarm of volunteers and seeing Dave right there with us, fingers in the dirt. And Mandy will always remember your kindness as hosts during our pioneer school and Dave’s wonderful Bose speakers giving us a tour of his favorite songs one evening! Robin and Family:
I have never met you, but I am David’s cousin from St.Cloud, MN. We wished we would have been able to say our last goodbye’s at our family reunion this summer and hope Dave got some joy in the correspondence I sent you. Your whole Ziemer family was thinking and praying for you. We are sorry David lost his battle. I wrote this poem right after my dad passed away in 2006, he was always looking forward for the angels comming to take him away from the pain:
EVERYTHINGS OK!
I RAISED MY HEAD TO SEE THEM,
AS THE ANGELS CAME MY WAY.
I KNEW JUST AT THAT MOMENT,
THAT TODAY WOULD BE THAT DAY.
I HEARD A GREATER CALLING,
